Welcome to The Family Press Co. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website at thefamilypressco.com and your purchase of custom apparel and related services from us. By accessing our site or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our site or services.

1. About Us

The Family Press Co. is a father-son custom apparel business founded by Mark and Jackson, based in Merced, California. We specialize in DTF (direct-to-film) transfers, custom screen printing, and branded apparel for teams, schools, organizations, and individuals. We use an invoice-after-approval model - payment is not due until your artwork is approved, after which we send a secure online invoice.

2. Services

We offer the following services:

• Custom DTF printed and screen-printed apparel (t-shirts, hoodies, hats, and related items)
• Team and organization gear for schools, sports teams, and businesses
• Limited-edition merchandise drops through our online store
• Artwork design consultation and preparation
• Local gym pickup in the Merced, CA area (within approximately 10 miles of 1920 Canal St)
• Nationwide shipping for orders not picked up locally

3. Order Process

• Custom orders begin when you submit a request through our website or contact us directly. Orders are not confirmed until we review your request and confirm availability.
• Artwork approval - before production begins, we will send you a digital proof for review. Production starts only after you approve the proof.
• Turnaround time - standard turnaround for custom apparel is 5–7 business days after proof approval. Rush orders may be available upon request.
• Order minimums - we have no minimum order requirements for most custom items.
• We reserve the right to decline any order for any reason, including artwork that violates our content policies (see Section 7).

4. Payment Terms

• Invoice after approval - once you approve your proof, we send a secure online invoice. Payment is due before production begins. We accept all major cards and digital payment methods.
• Online store orders - orders placed through our online Drops store are charged at the time of purchase per standard e-commerce practice.
• Deposits - for large or rush orders, we may require a deposit before production begins. This will be communicated to you before you confirm the order.
• All prices are in U.S. dollars. Applicable sales tax will be added where required by law.

5. Cancellations and Returns

• Custom orders may be cancelled before proof approval without charge. Once production has begun, cancellation is not available.
• Because all products are custom-made to your specifications, we generally do not accept returns unless there is a production error or defect on our part.
• If you receive items with a production error, contact us within 7 days of pickup or delivery and we will reprint or refund at our discretion.

6. SMS / Text Message Terms

By providing your phone number and opting in on our contact form or during the order process, you consent to receive text messages from The Family Press Co. regarding:

• Order confirmations, status updates, and proof approvals
• Pickup scheduling and reminders
• Replies to questions you initiate
• Promotional messages about new products or drops (only if separately opted in)

Message frequency varies based on order activity and may be several times per week during active orders.

To opt out, reply STOP to any message. You will receive a confirmation and no further messages will be sent. To re-subscribe, text START.

7. Acceptable Use & Artwork Policy

You agree not to submit artwork or request products that:

• Infringe on any copyright, trademark, or intellectual property rights you do not own or have license to use.
• Contain hate speech, obscene content, or material that promotes violence or illegal activity.
• Impersonate any person, brand, or organization in a misleading way.

By submitting artwork, you represent that you have all rights necessary to reproduce it and you indemnify The Family Press Co. against any claims arising from the use of your artwork.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website - including text, images, logos, and design - is the property of The Family Press Co. and may not be reproduced or used without our written permission. Artwork you submit remains your property. By submitting it, you grant us a limited license to use it solely for fulfilling your order.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our website and services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. Product colors displayed on-screen may vary slightly from printed output due to monitor calibration and printing processes.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Family Press Co. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our site or services. Our total liability for any claim arising from a specific order shall not exceed the amount you paid for that order.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Merced County, California.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time by posting a revised version on this page. Your continued use of our site or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
